Lately

It's been a busy couple of weeks, as we gear up for the store to welcome summer traffic! We're having fun planting herbs in front of the store and designing a garden for the back, which the kitchen can use for preparing food all Summer and hopefully even into the colder months. We've added a salad bar and a frozen yogurt machine, which if nothing else makes me very happy ;)

We planted at home too. We have a few new vegetables in the ground, some flowering chives and strawberries that were our landlord's doing, and we've added some peonies and dahlias this year. We've discovered that the tree in our courtyard is a lilac, so the smell is heavenly. We're trying to appreciate it while it lasts!

The weather seems to have officially turned warm. This weekend, it's downright hot - in the 80s. We've been to the pool a couple of times already, and we're loving spending late afternoons and evenings on our back deck, which we finally furnished more completely.
