Happy 4th Birthday, Frances!!!

As we say every year, it seems like a lifetime ago, and at the same time like yesterday, that we welcomed Frances into the world and our family.

We celebrated her 4th birthday yesterday by taking her out to dinner and a concert at the village without her baby brother, and we had an amazing time! Of course, the whole day was hers, beginning with a candle-lit doughnut brought to her in bed, gift-opening, breakfast at Nora's, and a gorgeous turn in the weather in the afternoon leading up to the night's festivities, which meant we could play outside in the warm sunshine.

Next up, a "real" birthday party with her friends at the gymnastics studio in town, which will be rainbow-themed and host to about 20 three, four, and five-year-olds. We had to have the party in April due to things being closed (and friends being gone) during this week's spring break.

So, this is essentially just a lot of pictures of Frances in her birthday dress and princess crown throughout the day, but let's face it - she was the star of the day!

6:30 am sprinkle doughnut? Of course!

Frances and friends at the G Love show! We packed a backpack for every conceivable weather condition, but managed to forget the birthday girl's coat. We bought a too-big replacement in the village and made her wear it when the sun started to dip. She fought it initially, but realized she could wear her birthday dress on top. She was the most adorable oompa-loompa at the show!
She had SUCH an amazing time with her friends
Next up... the Rainbow gymnastics party! Woo hoo!!!!
