We've been in Jackson Hole about 9 days now, and we're finally able to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee every once in a while :) Unpacking is a seemingly endless job, but we're about 90% there and feeling more at home every day.
We love our little house and can't wait to share it with friends and family who come to visit. Our location within the town of Jackson is perfect for us - close to everything, and in a great family neighborhood. Our car was even delivered a few weeks ahead of schedule, so we're fully outfitted for our new mountain life!
Frances and I arrived to the first snow of the season last Monday, but it melted within a couple of days, and we've enjoyed some pleasant weather since. There's a fog that sits over the neighborhood each morning, but it always lifts at some point in the day - and apparently is fairly typical for this time of year. The weather is amazing to witness here; you can actually see it coming, going, moving... navigating the mountains in changeable patches.
Mike and Frances have been biking and visiting the nearby playground, and we're already enjoying our amazing backyard. The scenery is breathtaking. Just driving to the Post Office can knock your socks off. There's so much sky. And the nights are REALLY dark. We're enjoying seeing stars for the first time in years :)
We celebrated Halloween on Sunday with a small party of friends, and neighborhood trick-or-treating. The kids had a blast, and it was nice for us to be able to stop the unpacking and enjoy hanging out with other adults.
We'll have many more stories to tell and pictures to post over the coming weeks, but below are the ones we've remembered to take this past week. Nothing on camera can capture how beautiful it is here, and how excited we are about this new chapter in our lives!

This is what a bike ride to the neighborhood playground looks like here...

These are the mom and baby moose that were at the house across the street from us yesterday morning (picture taken from inside our front window):
Frances is pretty excited about meeting her baby brother in February...
And finally... a glimpse at the latest work of our budding artist! She added arms, legs, and ears to her faces this week :)
More to come!
