As most anyone who reads this blog already knows, the Reids have some big changes in store for 2011! I don't have the energy to wax poetic about a shred of it at the moment, but considering this website was intended to serve as an account of what's going on in our lives, an update is in order.
We're moving to Jackson Hole, WY next month to open a business - about which we'll go into greater detail at some point in the near future. It's a total job and life change, and we can't wait for the challenge! We're also expecting our second child in February, and we found out this week that it's going to be a boy! We're thrilled about our good fortune on so many levels, its hard to express. We were able to rent out our Chicago house and find a place to live in JH within a matter of weeks, and our worldly belongings are once again loaded on a semi, this time already making their way West.

The hardest part of the journey will be seeing friends and family less frequently, but we couldn't do it without our team of cheerleaders, and we know in time that we'll be able to see everyone more regularly. I'm reassured by the strong instinct I share with Mike that this is going to be a good move for the well-being of our little family in the near future and in the long run.
And with that, I turn my attention away from the big picture and share below some little pictures of Frances and Pollock over the last few days. These two have been great at refocusing our attention on what matters amidst the madness that is a life change of this enormity.
More updates to come - and some video I have yet to edit - as we wind down our last couple of weeks in the Midwest...
