Meeting Mack!

Frances got to meet her (second?) cousin Mackail last week when his dad (Casey McGehee, with the Milwaukee Brewers) was in town playing the Cubs, with wife Sarah (my cousin) and little Mack in tow. It was actually the first time any of us had met Mack, so it was a lot of fun. I wish I'd captured more pictures!

He's the most incredible little guy... diagnosed with cerebral palsy (http://www.ucp.org/), he has so far defied the odds of physical and mental development for kids with the condition, and truly behaves just exactly like any "normal" happy, (super) smart, active 2 1/2-year-old. His vocabulary is through the roof, and he even showed us how he's walking a little bit now without the help of his walker. It's amazing!
He really couldn't have been handed to more loving and encouraging parents than Sarah and Casey. They're an inspiration.
