We attended another Outstanding in the Field dinner last month at City Farm in Chicago. Like last year, the meal was prepared by Paul Virant of the restaurant Vie in Western Springs. Truth be told, it was not as enchanting as last year's experience outside of the city, but the weather couldn't have been better, and there was something at least a little magical about dining in a tiny farm at the base of the Chicago skyline.
